Ata Kashanian has worked with Montclair Hotel Investors since 1995. His hospitality career began as General Manager of the US Navy Officers Club in Bethesda, Maryland. Subsequently, he held senior management positions with Holiday Inns in Chicago, San Diego, and Long Beach.

Immediately prior to joining Montclair Hotel Investors, Mr. Kashanian was the Assistant General Manager of the four-star Whitehall Hotel in Chicago. At Montclair Hotel Investors, he is responsible for operations of the western region hotels including the Crowne Plaza SFO, Holiday Inn Walnut Creek, Holiday Inn Concord and Holiday Inn Sacramento Northeast.

Mr. Kashanian attended Montgomery College majoring in Mechanical Engineering. He also holds certification in finance, personnel management, budgeting, sales/marketing, and cost control from Cornell University. He trained at Holiday Inn University in sales/marketing, guest relations, accounting, as well as food and beverage operation and also received training from the US Navy in Military Club Management. Mr. Kashanian resides in San Francisco with his wife. They have two daughters.
